The Cutting and Polishing

Savransky’s experienced diamond cutters wisely study each rough stone before marking it for cutting, thus achieving the best dispersion of light in the diamond’s myriad of facets. A well-cut diamond reflects its light internally off mirroring facets, then through the top of the gem. Facets are arranged by precise, mathematical proportions and named the crown, culet, table, girdle and pavilion.

The intricate process of cutting and polishing of a diamond brings it to life. In the skilled hands of Savransky’s master diamantaires, rough diamonds are transformed into exquisite gems, then each stone’s facets are carefully polished for sparkling symmetry.
